Parents are the ones who got us to the world and they have been carefully taking care of us and provide us education and get us to this stage.
They show us the love, bring us what we want!
Now, in Coimbatore, there is a news that - some people are bringing their sick parents and leaving them in the corridors of Government Rajaji Hospital.
And recently 2 of the sick parents died due to winter and cold temperature.
Hope this situation does not arise again - please take care of your parents!
That is good will and that is good for you!!
Same thing you kids will do for you.

My Coimbatore Father Part-II and my Health
My Coimbatore Father Part-II and my Health
Couple of Health Resolutions I have made this year.
A huge step - saying no to Alcohol, even to a small degree(even social drinking).
Preference to riding bicycle, instead of always using car.
This is going to drastically improve my health conditions.
Lesser vulnerability heart diseases. Self-motivated and less depression moments.
More fitness and normal weight for my body. Pumping my heart, periodically for good health!!
What I am doing is - My office is 1 mile from my apartment.
I go to office by bicycle in the morning, come back have lunch and then go back to office in the afternoon. By end of the day, I come back by bicycle in the evening. This gives me around 4-5 miles of exercise everyday. Even the commuting time is pretty much same as my car's considering the signal wait times and traffic. Isn't it worth?
While I ride my bicycle, I remember my father(dad).
Here is a first article I posted about my father - click here.
My grandfather used to walk all the way from his village Vadivelkarai or from Periyar Bus stand and come to our home in Coimbatore. My father used to go to work from TVS Nagar to Madura Coats (near Jail Rd, Coimbatore(near Arasaradi)). We are all spoilt people by using Car and not using bicycles.
My dad used to go this 12 km commute everyday and anywhere else he has to go, he still uses the same bicycle! Isn't it great? I guess, they use buses for other transport needs also. I feel happy and proud when I go by the same kind of bicycle and go to work for my family, apart from my health benefits!
I am also a good father, working for the family!!:)

Coimbatore Family Administration
I was imagining, if a family administration is done, similar to a corporation(city) administration. That would bring lot of organization in family. In fact, everyone would be already following this in their own family administration. However, they wouldn't have realized that they are doing this already.
I was looking into the coimbatore corporation administration and its several departments for running Coimbatore Corporation. Here are the departments in the family.
Departments:
Accounts,
Council,
Education,
Engineering,
Health,
PRO,
Revenue,
Town planning, and
Transportation
Council:
1) Family care and Love
2) Mostly taken care by the woman folk of the family.
Finance:
1) Save, Invest, Spend less
2) Find new ways for earning more - revenue
3) Personal Finance is very important for a micro-economy to function well.
4) Atleast one person has to be concerned about this, otherwise family would collapse. If both the members of the family are careless, it will be catastrophe.
PRO:
1) Connect with all friends periodically
2) Learn to talk nicely and elaborately
Transportaion:
1) Vehicle maintenance - bicycle, car, motor bike etc.,
Planning:
1) This has to be always ON and this has to be under the leader's umbrella.
Education:
1) Everybody in the family has to be educated; need to learn more; Literacy is important for the family - both short-term and long-term.
Engineering:
1) Find new things
2) Build new things
3) Business development and improvement
Health:
1) Walking,
2) Cycling,
3) Healthy Diet,
4) Daily vitamin tablet,
5) less or no coffee,
6) weekly once drinking/mild drinking only
7) more vegetables and fruits

Happy Family in Coimbatore
What do you need for a happy family?
1) Understanding spouse
2) Loving and caring spouse
3) Children
4) Satisfaction
5) Work to do for everyone in the family. At least one person as earning MONEY. Not necessary that another one also has to work to earn. But definitely something to do.
6) Savings is good.
7) Simple life.
8) Everyone likes you and your family. Being good to everyone - very difficult but possible.
The above is minimum. If you want to be more happy -
9) Wealthy - more money
10) Achievement in life - Success.
It is all my personal opinion.
If you think of anything more, please post it as comments.

One Happy Man
I was sleeping in my bed. My wife and my little (almost)2 year old daughter were awake and they were doing their morning course.
My daughter came slowly to me into my bed and said "appaa", "appaa", "appaa".
She touched with her cool hand on my back and said again appa, appa, appa..
She hugged me from my back and nicely cuddled to me.
What else do you need in life?!!! I am one happy man!!!
My little daughter loves me:) and with her sweet voice she calls appaa, apppaaa...:):)
Thank you God for everything!!

Coimbatore Family - motivation and responsibility
Coimbatore Family - motivation and responsibility:
Family is very important at any point of time. Wife and kids are the real fun.
They are the ones who keep us running daily with full enthusiasm.
They are the motivation.
When I see my daughter, who is just an infant (< 2 years old), I think of an education fund, a marriage fund, an exclusive savings for my lovely daughter. I feel there is a huge responsibility as a father to save for my daughter.
At the same time, I have a huge responsibility of savings for my retirement and my wife's. My wife is not working, so I need to save for her retirement too.
This keeps me going, in a way. I need to work hard, save, and build assets for my family and their future.
This becomes my primary motivation for running in the life.
These days it costs minimum (INR) Rs.25 lakhs for a good education. If you are thinking of education abroad, you need think much further financially. I don't really care about Marriage fund, but I do really care about education fund. This has to be planned much ahead.
In addition, I need to have atleast Rs.20,000 to Rs.40,000 per month as income in my retirement(considering the inflation rate), and also considering that I live in my own house.
I keep thinking I just need to work hard and harder in my current job and make sure I save for future.
First feed yourself, then your family, then your society and the world!
Hope you are in the same boat as me!

My Coimbatore Father and myself
I don't see any difference between what my father was doing and what I am doing?
My father was a labourer in a cotton mill in Coimbatore. His designation was overlooker (in tamil it is called maesthri). He had his colleagues and his own fun. He used to work for 8 hours.
He worked on machines to get the threads made from the cotton. There were further automation in the machines and he enjoyed his job.
I see the same thing with me too. I work on machines and I make something or atleast test somethings before it goes to the customer.
I have managers as my father did.
I think it is the course of a NORMAL life everyone goes through, unless we make a tremendous difference in our lives by finding something new or building something new! or becoming an industrialist etc.,
It is usually ideal to be 10 times different than your previous generation. But, I see myself to be the same person, as my father - except for little differences in my financial situation!!
I hope I will make some difference and give something new this world, than normal!!

My Coimbatore Brother
My Coimbatore Brother
While I was in the reminiscent mood, I thought of one more incident, which happenned when I was 5 years old and I was studying in first standard in a Big school in Coimbatore. My brother was studying second standard in the same school. His age was ofcourse 6(six). There was one guy in my class always disturbing me and torturing me. I was so pissed off. Remember I am 5 years old:).
I informed my brother about this and he had few friends. Remember - his age was 6 years. My brother - my coimbatore brother got frustrated and got together his friends in a lunch session. These lunch sessions in school are the real play time for many of us, if you remember your days. There will be two much running around by all boys and girls and no one would notice what is going on. That was the correct timing by my brother and his friends.
They got together and nailed and sketched "this guy(my classmate)" and brought him to a building wall. two guys caught this classmate and one guy kept punching at his stomach:). I keep on smiling when I think about this incident.
Lunch session was over. When I was in my first session, post lunch. My brother was called to my class and my class teacher was pinching my brother's stomach.:)
You see what has happenned? My brother is unfortunately caught and he is getting his punishment for what he did to help me:):)
Quite interesting!! I usually don't have a great memory and remember everything, bu this incident is fresh in my mind, even though it happenned at my age 5.
