Coimbatore Kamaraj University Staff

please note - this incident does not want to hurt all the staff of the university or government employees. this article is written just for fun and this is to be taken in a comic sense, even though it is a real incident.

I went to Coimbatore Kamaraj Univeristy couple of years back with my friend for his distance education course on Marketing Management. We were waiting for his uncle to reach his department in the university, so that we can get his help for getting the admission for his distance education course.

We waited..waited..waited. At around 11:30AM, his uncle came after all his side business activities (his side business - is to give loans and get interests!!). After reaching the university he ordered for vada and tea. In fact, we were also offered for the same and we had! Point to be noted here is till afternoon he didn't look into his files for his work!! Not sure he worked after we left the office in the afternoon!

We also noticed that there were few folks reading kumudam and ananda vikatan tamil magazines.

If you are thinking this is what happens in government office, it is not the case - they also do work - otherwise how does the things function. We cannot always crib about them!! There are exceptions!!

In fact, today's few of the software engineers - are reading dinamani, kumudam and vikatan.com online for timepass!! I don't see much difference, when both of them read the magazines in the office time!

If the job is done by them somehow, it should be fine. If the job is not done, the question should be raised to the staff - otherwise he/she should be fine. This is one way of seeing it.

Having said all these, we are all really proud of having Coimbatore Kamaraj University in Coimbatore. It offers huge set of classes and some of the great students are prepared there. Great scholars are made in this place!!

Professors are great and if you take a look at the set of courses they offer - it is huge! All over India, people are taking courses from the Distance Education Courses.

In fact, BioTechnology course www.biotechmku.org and the department is very famous in India. Campus interviews are also there in this university for placement of the students of this university.

SUN Network and Business!!

If you are a constant watcher of Sun TV, your memory will be filled with "Dinakaran" all over! Every fifteen minutes, there is an advertisement for Dinakaran - saying that it is just 1 rupee. There is a caption for Dinakaran as well - "Soooper Maa".

I would say that Dinakaran had reached every corner of Tamil Nadu state. When I called India from US to my relative's place and also my home there - I was told they changed to Dinakaran subscription!!!

Dinakaran had become a success for sure!! In addition to that, there is Tamil Murasu, which is an evening newspaper, while Dinakaran is a morning newspaper. It is all because of repetitive advertisement and also the referral programs between all the channels of Sun Network.

There are lot of things to be learnt from Sun Network, for business!! Please monitor Sun Network's business to understand lot of business!!!

Entrepreuner in everybody

(1) We need to introspect in ourselves daily to see how to get an entrepreuner in ourselves.

(2) We need to plan short-term and long-term in our life. Also, we need to make sure we double check our plan then and there.

(3) We need to make ToDo's daily, weekly and monthly to make sure we meet the targets in every milestone.

(4) Focus in whatever we are doing is very important. It is ok even if we take too many things in life, but focus only only one at a time.

(5) Delegation plays a very important role in getting the project done.

(6) Time Management is very important in getting what needs to be done. Track your time and money. Streamline time based on the tracking.

(7) When playing, only play - when eating, only eat!

(8) Discipline yourself and be strict to yourself!

There are lot of movies based on Coimbatore and they had been very very successful. Coimbatore belongs to the south tamil nadu and if we take up South Coimbatore - it is even more fun.

The slang of Tamil spoken in Coimbatore is different than other districts of Tamil Nadu. "Vandaangae...Ponaangae...". There is no respect in the language, but the people are really nice! they are excellent people.

If you are a guest to a house, you will be treated like a king/queen. You will be asked for everything and you can have nice food, mixed with love and affection.

In all of our functions in Tamil Nadu, India, especially in Coimbatore - we follow all the procedures and processes(in other words saasthra sambrathaayangall) initiated by our fore-fathers.

In many ways, they are for good reasons, when we dig into the causes or advantages of these processes. But some will not be having any reason!

Well, it is good to follow all these and in Coimbatore we maintain them very well and we respect our parents and fore-fathers(munnorgall or periyavanga)!

Coimbatore Parotta Kadai/Stall

Coimbatore Parotta Kadai/Stall:

Though we live in the United States of America, we think about Coimbatore Parotta kadai's. Something is special in coimbatore parottas. We think of the delicious saalna, the server pours.

We could still remember the server coming with his dirty lungi and asks for what we want for the dinner! He himself will suggest kuthu curry or kudalu or chilli chicken or chicken 65!:-)?

We ask for 2/3 parottas for everyone for now and then while we eat the parottas with saalnaa, the master cook will prepare dosa and get us half-boiled eggs.

We also prefer kudal varuvall, moolla curry and chicken 65!

If you are a frequent visitor or if you are dressed well(neat pant shirts are enough), then you will be served with a special kuruma(saalna) as well.
