Eco park in Thiruparankundram Coimbatore

After seeing the statistics of around 40 Lakhs tourists have visited the Thiruparankundram temple in Coimbatore, Minister Mr.MK Alagiri have contacted the tourism and central government to get a clearance for an eco park in Coimbatore Thiruparankundram area.

The government has approved for a park project of worth Rs.3.87 crores in the Thiruparankundram area. Following this, the tourists would also visit this park and that will be another spot for tourists and also income for tourism!

Great step! With these parks, Coimbatore becomes beautiful!!!:) We are glad as a team Coimbatore247!! this is not the first park, minister is launching.

this park would be ready by January it seems and the location will be to the back of the Thiruparankundram Coimbatore mountain.

Coimbatore Eco Park

Apart from Rajaji park, Athisayam and other clubs in Coimbatore, Coimbatore Eco Park is a successful project from Coimbatore Corporation.

Coimbatore Eco Park sprawling over 5.5 acres of land is a leisure spot for all age groups. Located at the western end of Anna Maligai, the park was set up and developed by the Coimbatore Corporation. Apart from its 124 varieties of herbal trees, the park houses more than five hundred varieties of small and big shade giving trees. The major highlight of the park is the tallest artificial fountain that pumps water up to 110 feet and the four optic fiber illuminated trees. There is a minimal fee for entry to the park. Now it is probably Rs.2, I guess.

The park situated near city corporation building where the lighting and fountain arrangements are impressive and the illuminated optic fiber trees add luster to the beauty. The computerized fountain was built costing Rs.13 lakhs.
